Tibcon standard series power capacitors are designed and manufactured to survive under severe and toughest ambient conditions, during compensation which results in shortening of life span. When the capacitor life is over or if there is a electrical thermal overload, thanks to the circuit breaker system which are design to survive under extreme pressure and prevents the capacitors from explosion.
Tibcon standard series capacitors are made in accordance with Metallized Polypropelene technology with built-in SELF HEALING properties. It has lifesapan of 130,000 hrs at 55 degrees and 150,000 hours at 65 degrees with self restoration feature and superior durability which gives ability to work in harsh conditions.

EXPLOSION PROTECTION
Sometimes capacitors may explode due to very high voltages in repetitive peaks, which cannot be ‘self healed’ by the regenerative property. However, TIBCON capacitors are provided with an internal Over-Pressure Disconnector, which disconnects the capacitor from the power source and prevents it from exploding.
For example, the ‘SELF HEALING ' feature shows itself when a breakdown occurs in the capacitor coil due to high voltage the cover plate, which acts as an overload valve, rises and breaks the connecting wires with the coil which disconnects the capacitor from the power source and prevents it from exploding.
